2022 Subaru Outback Trims and Packages

 

The Subaru Outback is a Midsize SUV or Wagon that has two rows of seating for up to five people. It is a capable and comfortable vehicle with plenty of technology and safety features, as well as giving you reliable performance. The Outback also gives you a good amount of cargo space. You can find 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, but you can get up to 75.7 cubic feet of cargo space with those rear seats folded down.

You can find one of two different engine options in your Subaru Outback. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gives you 182-horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. Your available engine is a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that gives you 260-horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Every model comes standard with all-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission. If you have a particular preference when it comes to the engine options, you will want to pay attention to the trim level that offers the engine you want.

There are eight trim levels that can be found in the 2022 Subaru Outback. Below, you can take a quick look at each trim level and what it offers you.

Base

The base level Subaru Outback will be your most affordable Outback option, but it does still provide you with a good number of features.

The base model is home to the 182-horsepower four-cylinder engine with a continuously variable automatic transmission. You also get standard all-wheel drive with this model, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. When it comes to safety, this vehicle has features like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, a head-up display, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and a rear seat reminder.

When it comes to technology, this vehicle gives you a standard touchscreen infotainment system with two 7-inch touchscreens. You also get standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone connectivity. You also get keyless entry, two USB ports, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and HD radio. The interior comes with manually adjustable front seats, cloth upholstery, and automatic climate control.

As you can see, this base model offers you a lot of standard features, so if you are looking for the most affordable Outback, it is a great option for you.

Premium

The Premium trim includes the features from the Base level, but it adds a few more. This trim level gives you more in terms of technology features, with standard features like an 11.6-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and two more USB ports. You also had features like heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat.

There are also a couple of packages you can add to the premium trim. One of these packages costs $1,400 and gives you blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, a push button start, rear cross traffic alert, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Another package option in this trim gives you all of the features in the previous package plus a navigation system and a moonroof for $2,995.

Limited

When you step up to the Limited trim, you get some nice interior features like leather upholstery and heated rear seats. You also get a push-button start, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, rear collision warning, 18-inch wheels, blind spot monitoring, and a hands-free power liftgate.

There is also an optional package that gives you a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, a moonroof, and driver drowsiness monitoring for $2,045.

Limited XT

The Limited XT is for those that like the Limited trim but are looking for a more powerful option. This trim level includes all the features from the Limited trim, but it gives you the turbocharged 260-horsepower engine standard. This means the Limited XT will be more cost to you, but the upgraded engine is a great option for those looking for an upgraded performance in their 2022 Subaru Outback.

Onyx Edition XT

This version of the 2022 Outback is similar to the Premium trim, but it offers you some additional features. Part of the appeal of the Onyx Edition is the look; this trim features some dark exterior accents to give you a unique style. You also get the turbocharged 260-horsepower engine with this trim.

 

Other features found on the Onyx Edition XT include a front-view camera, blind spot monitoring, a hands-free liftgate, and 18-inch wheels. You also get interior features like synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, push button start, and heated rear seats.

You can get a $1,845 package on this trim that adds a moonroof, navigation, and rear collision warning.

Wilderness

The Subaru Outback Wilderness is a new trim for the 2022 model. It can be found with all the features of the Oynx Edition, plus a few more. The Wilderness trim is built for those that want to take on off-roading and the outdoors!

This trim gives you restyled front and rear bumpers, as well as flared wheel arches. You also get a raised suspension and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. This is the most off-road friendly Outback model, so it is great if you want to take the path less traveled.

Touring

The Touring is a trim that is similar to the Limited trim, but it does offer you a few more features. With the touring, you will get ventilated front seats. You will also get the addition of a front-view camera system on the Touring trim.

Touring XT

The Touring XT is simply the Touring trim with the addition of the 260-horsepower turbocharged engine option. It is the 2022 Subaru Outback that can give you the most features. As you can see, there are a lot of great trim options for the 2022 Subaru Outback.
