• Turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine - The engine in your Subaru Ascent is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 260-horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. 

In terms of fuel efficiency, you can expect to get up to 20 city and 26 highway miles per gallon. All Subaru Ascent models offer you Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive and X-Mode with hill descent control. The X-Mode system offers you the ability to take on different terrain with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings. This gives some basic off-road capability. You can get up to 8.7-inches of ground clearance with the Subaru Ascent. You can also get the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds with this SUV when it is properly equipped, and you have the trailer stability assist feature to make that towing experience an easier one.
