Outback Wins Safety Award

Subaru just recently announced that its 2021 Outback, Japan Model, just recently won the Best Award 2021 for the Japan New car Assessment program. This was conducted by the National Agency for Automotive Safety and other organizations in Japan, and this is the second year in a row that Subaru has won the award.
The five-star award is given to vehicles that come with automatic accident emergency call systems that have received an A ranking for both preventative safety performance and collision safety performance. The Subaru Outback received the A rank for its Advanced Automatic Collision Notification system, which is available under its Subaru STARLINK connected service. Out of a possible 190 points, it earned an impressive 185.02, which makes it the highest ranked in Five Star awarded vehicles.
As far as collision safety performance, the Subaru Outback enjoys the combination of the Subaru Global Platform and full inner-frame construction. This helps the car achieve a higher rigidity and crash absorption, and Subaru improved greatly on its previous model. Simply put, this means that the car takes on the violence of the collision instead of its driver and passengers. Not only that, a second load path structure was adopted, and the aim is to not only protect passengers in the Subaru, but passengers in the other car will be better protected, in the event of a crash.
The Subaru Outback protects drivers and other occupants with eight standard airbags and a pedestrian protection airbag, which protects pedestrians and even cyclists in the event of an accident. As for preventative safety performance, Outback's new generation of EyeSight offers an even wider view angle, which is standard equipment on all models. With the newly added electric brake booster, the responsiveness of the braking assist has improved, which helps avoid crashes at intersections and in other various situations that may be out of the control of the driver.
Those who want to purchase the new 2023 Subaru Outback in the United States will have to wait till the fall. But it should be worth the wait. The 2023 Subaru Outback will be the first U.S. model that will offer the new Wide-Angle Mono Camera. According to Subaru, this will help the vehicle recognize both pedestrians and cyclists when entering an intersection at a low speed. Those who want to get the new camera will want to look out for the 2023 Subaru Outback with the Limited trim level.
Subaru's goal is to "deliver happiness to all" and is going to continue to improve safety in a host of ways, including improving current systems while introducing new ones to avoid collisions altogether. It aims to achieve zero fatal road accidents in Japan, by 2030.
If you are in the market for a new car, Granite Subaru offers a host of Subaru models, including the Outback. If you can wait till the fall of this year, you can check out the 2023 Subaru Outback, and take one out for a spin. You won't regret it.
